WHAT HAPPENED?
Lineker, alongside former England internationals Rio Ferdinand, Frank Lampard and Micah Richards, leapt up in celebration as Trent Alexander-Arnold rifled in England's fifth and decisive penalty. The Three Lions won just their second penalty shootout ever in a European Championship and the pundits were beyond ecstatic. Lineker, perhaps fortunate they were not live on air during the shootout, did not hold back.

WHAT LINEKER SAID
Richards was quick to point out the video of their celebrations was muted at the end before Lineker had to admit why.
Richards laughed: "Where's the sound gone Gaz? What happened?"
Lineker replied: "I think, to be honest, I think I dropped the 'f-bomb'!"

WHAT NEXT FOR ENGLAND?
Lineker will be dreaming of yet more celebrations this tournament as England progress to the semi-finals for the third time in four tournaments under Gareth Southgate. They will play the Netherlands before facing one of France or Spain in the final, should they make it.
